I just moved to an apartment in the Village. It's essential to me that I live in a beautiful, warm, and inspiring environment. I did not want to spend a lot of money since it is only temporary, so I've created some drama and style with the colors and treatments of the wall.
Art is one of the most important parts of creating an environment. This painting is a film still of Elizabeth Taylor from Butterfield 8, done by artist Russell Young.
The light mint green painting is by an Argentine artist named Patricia Iglesias. This particular piece is painted on a wood panel, and has both an ethereal and calming effect, while still adding a strong touch of color to this room. I've had this for 6 years and I don't get sick of looking at it.
Art is by Donald Baechler, chairs by Milo Baughman.
